8vo. 16" x 15" sheet, eight panels per side, opens to a black & white map of the area from Topeka, Kansas City and St. Louis south and west as far as Van Buren, Okmulkee, Eureka Springs, and Emporia, showing counties, streams, etc. Map caption reads "The only line running through cars between Kansas City and Lamar, Springfield and Joplin, MO. The only good route from Kansas City to Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, Seligman, and the famous Eureka Springs of Arkansas." The reverse side provides promotional text, time tables, one panel shows the interior of a Horton Palace reclining chair car, lands for the home seeker, etc. Promotes 100,000 acres of choice farming land in the Spring River Vallet of southeastern Kansas. Partial red stamp of a land agent on the upper portion of the front panel and a small chip to the bottom edge of the rear panel, else very good.
