Cloth, titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover and spine, xl, 198 pp. introduction, illustrated. Contains a bibliographical study and introduction on the author by J. Frank Dobie. Illustrated by Tom Lea. Typography by Carl Hertzog. Siringo's chronicle of his life as a itchy-footed boy, cowhand, range detective, and adventurer. During his years as a cowboy he met young Billy the Kid and later led a posse of cowboys into New Mexico in pursuit of the Kid and his gang. This is a "thrilling account of hard-riding, hard-fighting years on the Texas trail in the authentic words of a man who was there." Former owner's designed name stamp on front free fly leaf else a very good copy in price-clipped dust jacket lightly sunned on the spine, reinforced with small pieces of scotch tape at the spine ends and corners, and with small creases and nicks to the extremities.
