Two-tone quarter cloth and marbled boards, [10], 206 pp. A great Mountain Man classic. "Wolf Song is considered by most critics to be his best novel ... indeed, some have called it the finest novel of the American West. It tells the story of a mountain man, Sam Lash, loosely modelled on Kit Carson." A beautiful Fine copy. The spine of the rare and fragile slipcase is split completely along the fore-edge and the spine ends, but holding along other edge, otherwise shows some light soiling.
