Adams 150 # 35 says, "The author tames down the McCanles-Hickok affair somewhat. While some writers have claimed the fight was the result of McCandles' horse stealing and others have stated that he was trying to collect a debt, this author says the trouble started over the woman Kate Shull...Scarce." Six Guns 501 says "Only a few of these little books were printed." Some soiling and light edgewear. Very good copy. From the library of author and Indian Wars authority, John M.
