The author met Wild Bill in Springfield, Missouri in the summer of 1865, and relates firsthand accounts of stories Hickok told him. Included in the stories is the "M'Kandlas" fight, the "Tutt" duel, and two Civil War scouting stories. This article is responsible for establishing public awareness and notoriety, and began the public life and legend of "Wild Bill" Hickok. Fine condition, nicely protected in a folder of stiff red boards and a black cloth spine.
