The saga of the only whiteman to raid with the Western Apache. Known as Zebina's Apaches, this band wreaked havoc along the border for several years, killing settlers and stealing livestock. He was eventually captured and through some miracle was allowed to volunteer for the final Apache campaign and was assigned as a tracker to Captain Henry Lawton's expedition in May 1886. Zebina made a lot of enemies and at age 51 was shot and killed at Nacozari. As new, unread copy in dust jacket.
