Publication: 1901, NP
First Edition. Self-wrappers. [8]pp. Prints articles from several newspapers including the Kansas City Star, the Independence Sentinel, and The Clay County Democrat, by and about William H. Wallace. Wallace was the prosecuting attorney who brought down the James gang. He was running for the U.S. Senate when an article was published in the Kansas City Star stating that he had been on a hunting trip with Frank James in Indian Territory. He states the rumor has harmed his run and denies it vehemently and defends his prosecution of them. A rare item, as we are unable to find any bibliographical information or listing of this publication. Some chipping to upper fore-corner, not affecting text, with professional archival repair to corner and across the horizontal folds of the pages...a fragile piece. Very good.
