Orange colored cloth, titles stamped in black on the front cover and spine, pictorial front and rear endpapers printed on yellow paper stock, xviii [2], 174 pp., introduction, foreword, acknowledgments, frontispiece, illustrated, portraits, bibliography, index. Walter Durbin was a cowboy for the Waggoner Ranch and Tee Fork Cattle Company before becoming a Ranger. Adams 150: 131 says: "This is a story of one of Texas' peace officers and his adventurous life, revealing some history heretofore untold. The author tells of some new adventures of Bass Outlaw not seen before, has a mention of Sam Bass, Jim Courtright, John Selman and many of the noted Texas Rangers." This is a scarce Texas Ranger book. Near fine copy in dust jacket with small nicks and chips to the spine ends, corners, and extremities.
