Gillett is an advertiser with his picture astride a horse promoting his book, SIX YEARS WITH THE TEXAS RANGERS. Magazine deals with the history of the Big Bend area of West Texas. The first half contains excerpts from John Ernest Gregg's Master Thesis, "The History of Presidio County." Also included are articles titled, "Reminiscences of Pancho Villa," "Castle Gap," "The Brites: Pioneer Ranch People," "Chihuahua Trail," "Villa Takes Ojinaga," "The Killing of Ranger Hulin and Inspector Sitters," "Fort D. A. Russell," and much more. Contributing authors include Carl Graham Raht, J. L. Allhands, Norman Walker, and Jack Shipman. Some light wear to fore-edges of front cover and spine, some minor wear to lower corners of first 11 pages, else interior clean and bright and a very good copy.
