Publication: George H Doran, 1921, New York
First edition. Orange paper-covered boards and spine with printed paper label showing author and title affixed on front board. 51pp. Inscribed by the author to Edmund (Leamy). Aline Kilmer was an American poet, children's book author, and essayist, and the wife and widow of poet and journalist Joyce Kilmer. In their short marriage, lasting 10 years, her husband had achieved fame as a poet. After his death in World War I, Aline began publishing her own poetry. Today, her work is largely forgotten. Covers and edges scraped, bumped and worn along with paper label attached to spine with titled blackened out. A good only copy.
