Publication: Reynal & Hitchcock, 1943, New York
First edition. Very good, bright copy in dust jacket that has been internally reinforced with archival tape and a few rubbed areas filled in with dark ink. An early Cleve Adams crime title that features Rex McBride in San Francisco where he is accused of knowing something about missing jewelry that has been insured by one of his clients. If that isn't bad enough, he must clear himself of two successive murder charges.
