Chapters on Old Tascosa, the chuck wagon, the XIT Ranch, West Texas, the Panhandle Blizzard of 1885, the kidnapping of Cynthia Ann Parker, Texas brands and brand runners, Billy the Kid, the fence-cutter's war, Doan's store, etc. Six Guns says, "Scarce" as well as, "In his chapter on Billy the Kid the author is very sympathetic to the Kid. He repeats the legend of the Kid's card game with Bell while a prisoner at Lincoln, as well as the one about the Kid's going to visit his sweetheart at Maxwell's home the night he was killed." Several photographs. Over-sized wrappers are chipped and soiled and title is printed in ink on the spine. Interior clean. Very good.
