Much on Texas badmen including Sam Bass, Frank Jackson, Gregorio Cortez and others, as well as chapters on the Bandit War. A Texas Ranger who served in the most remote camps on the Rio Grande, and eventually became the commander of all Rangers...the Adjutant General of Texas.
