This book contains 90 color photographs and interviews with the artists. Superbly tight and bright first edition, boldly inscribed and signed in black fine-line on half-title page: "For James, / Thanks for the Support. / Enjoy! / Jonathan Day / 2000." In addition, two of the 19 kachina carvers profiled in these pages have signed alongside their portraits in black ballpoint: Larry Melendez (who adds a tiny kachina drawing below) and Fred Ross (who adds a tiny butterfly below since he is of the Butterfly Clan), both still carving today. Fine, bright copy in a colorful dust jacket with one tiny closed tear and minor tiny crease to bottom of rear panel.
