The author says in part, "As to the stories themselves, he wishes to say that they are reports of actual experiences, written up from his note-book, with such changes in names, places and minor incidents as his personal safety seems to require." Dykes Billy the Kid 18 says "Rare" (in 1952). Chapter VII, entitled The Wedding At Puerta de Luna is the story of Billy the Kid holding up a wedding dance. On Watch With the Night Herd, is a chapter on cattle herding, although it is not included in Adams Herd. Former owner's bookplate on front pastedown sheet, light cosmetic restoration to the spine ends and lower corners, rebacked with the original spine laid down, else a very good, tight copy.
