This uncommon, and well-illustrated handbook to the Yukon Territory, with extended section on the Klondike Yukon gold strikes, history, gold mines, placer mining, gold dredges, hydraulic mining, open-pit gold mining, with census of all the mines. Also included are sections on coal mining, homesteading, big game hunting, railroad building, and much more. From the library of former California State Librarian, Gary Kurutz. Former owner's inked name at top of half title page, fore-edges of front cover and first four pages have tiny nicks, top edges of last 20 pages are roughly trimmed, else a tight and internally clean very good copy.
