He has chosen for the purpose Billy the Kid, as prototype of the outlaw ; Wild Bill Hickok, the gunfighter ; Kit Carson, the mountain man ; and General George A, Custer, the soldier. Six Guns says "Contains several chapters on Billy the Kid and on Wild Bill Hickok. The author, I am happy to say, is another historian who is trying to correct some false history."
