This book recalls the journey of the Kiowa Indians from the headwaters of the Yellowstone River in what is now western Montana to their present home in the southern Plains. In 1867 they were moved to a reservation in Oklahoma. It offers information about the Kiowas' origin, beliefs, traditions, morals, and conflicts.
