An excellent account of a tragic and controversial event, written by a man who was stationed at Fort Yates in the northern portion of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. He was part of the command that rode to the relief of the group of Indian Police at Sitting Bull's cabin, surrounded by hostile supporters of Sitting Bull, who had been shot and killed by the Indian Police while attempting to arrest him and transport him to the agency. Neatly bound with tape to create a spine. Near fine condition.
