Cordelia Gray is hired to accompany fading actress Clarissa Lisle to a castle where she is planning her spectacular comeback. At the gothic castle, Clarissa receives numerous poison-pen letters containing death threats. Cordelia is asked to investigate. Sadly, P. D. James died at 94 years of age in November, 2014.
