A well-written account of the lives of many of the most famous gunmen in the West. Each chapter covers a different gunman: Billy The Kid, Sam Bass, John Wesley Hardin, The James Boys, The Daltons, Pat Garrett, Elfego Baca, King Fisher, Clay Allison, Wild Bill Hickok, Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp, and many others. A thoroughly researched work. Excellent bibliography. Fine in original brown cloth slipcase and no dust jacket, as issued. This copy #000 was issued to the previous owner, a friend of the publisher, as Metz wanted copy #1; therefore providing an even lower number. This "Silver Bullet Edition" has become quite scarce.
