Publication: Southam Press Limited, nd (1918), Montreal
First edition. 12 1/2" x 9 1/2" oblong quarto, tied, gold gilt, stamped, stiff wrappers with a mounted view of the bridge on the front cover, 103 pp., illustrated from photographs, diagrams, and drawings. Many stage-by-stage photographic views of the bridge as it nears completion. An enormous engineering project for its day that took from 1910 until 1917 to complete. In 1907, the south half of the first bridge over the river collapsed killing 100 men. In 1910, work began again and were nearing completion when the suspended bridge span that was being hoisted into place, fell into the river. The huge undertaking supports trains on two tracks. The over-sized stiff wrappers have a number of small closed tears along the extremities, but the interior is clean and quite serviceable, for an overall very good copy of a fascinating booklet.
