First edition. 8" x 5" catalog in color pictorial wrappers with an illustration of 4 women dressed in their coats and standing beside a vehicle. The rear wrapper offers a write-up of the various coats in the catalog in an attempt to entice customers to visit their store. (24) pp. Black and white photographs throughout. Each page has a photo, description, and style number for a variety of women's coats. Salt's Textile Company Inc. was founded by Sir Titus Salt, Baronet in England in 1836. The American mills were established at Bridgeport, Conn., by the English Company, and in 1893 were transferred to the present American Co., the Salt's Textile Co., Inc. Three of the Velvet Plush and Fur-Fabric Mills owned and operated by Salt's Textile Company, Inc. were the Main plant at Bridgeport, Conn., the Mills at Darby, Pa. and an Over-Seas Plant at Lyons, France. Salt's Fur Fabrics are made in these three and other mills of the Salt's Company and the product is sold to cloak and suit manufacturers for converting into garments, also in the piece to Dry Goods and Department Stores. Moderate soiling to the wrappers else very good.
