Publication: Lighthouse Publishers, 1999, Provo, Utah
First edition. 8vo. Signed on the title page by the author's grand daughter. Pictorial stiff wrappers, [6], 122 pp., author's note, foreword, illustrated, map. A biography of John David "Jack" Boyd, 1871-1963, a Provo, Utah, lawman. This is an unusual book as the first part is a fictionalized account of the stagecoach robbery and the second part is a factual biography of lawman Jack Boyd. "Born in 1871 n Utah, Boyd grew up in Utah, Idaho and Arizona. He tells of dealing with Apaches, trailing Geronimo, becoming deputy sheriff, meeting Matt Warner, and becoming friends with the reformed outlaw. He was a pall bearer at Warner's funeral. In 1920 he was elected sheriff of Utah County and served honorably in that office for ten years." Fine unread copy without dust jacket, as issued.
