Instructions for ordering followed by illustrations of and pricing for various products to include crests, letters, rosettes, hames, terrets, buckles, chains, links, hooks, etc. Born in New Brunswick, Joseph Colgan came to Boston as a young boy where he learned and perfected his trade under Henry Cross, father of Mark Cross, the owner of America's first luxury leather goods company. Colgan established himself in business at Sudbury Street in 1850, remaining at that address throughout his career. He became involved in the manufacture of military and foremen's equipment, fancy saddlery and leather specialties. Page edges lightly soiled throughout due to handling; title page with 1/4" x 1" chip missing to bottom edge and with creasing to bottom corner along with text separating from wrappers, but still holding. Wrappers with creasing to top and bottom corners. Good.
