Hardbound copy shows very slight edge wear, and has a previous owners name and non-authorial presentation on front endpaper. The copy in stiff pictorial wrappers shows some wear to lower fore-corners, else a clean, bright copy. A classic account of the Sioux Uprising of 1862. First printed in German in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1876. The soft-bound printing offered here is more scarce than the cloth-bound printing of this first edition printed in English. Both volumes are protected in a custom slipcase with Title, Author, and Year of Publication on leather label on spine. A scarce combination of this classic account of the Sioux Uprising of 1862.
