Publication: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1926, New York
First U. S. edition. Signed by the author on the half-title page. Spine panel darkened but with titles clear and legible, light wear to the spine ends, else a very good copy in a bright, fresh dust jacket with minor professional restoration to the extremities. Eight short stories each of which features the jovial priest, Father Brown, playing the part of Sherlock Holmes the keen-witted detective. The front panel of the dust jacket has a wonderful color painting of Father Brown. Chesterton's Father Brown mystery titles are very uncommon signed. An exceptional copy.
