Accompanied by Johnny Fletcher, Sam went to see the estate. There was a large house, a lot of ground, no money and two hundred St. Bernard dogs ... and they had to be fed! It wasn't long before Sam and Johnny learn that Uncle Julius had been something else besides a dog fancier, he had been highly unpopular with a number of people, which soon had Sam and Johnny up to their necks in murder trouble.
