First edition. 12mo. Original red cloth, 143 pp., introduction, conclusion. Early history of the area, the early fur trade, exploration, Indian wars, cowboys, etc. Six Guns 1944 says "Scarce" "In a chapter on stagecoaches the author tells about holdups, road agents, and lynchings." Eberstadt 114: 387 says "Much on the Indians; the Bannock and Sheepeater Indian Wars; the cowboy; Fort Hall; the stagecoach; general history, etc." This is a rare book as of the first 1,000 copies printed 700 were destroyed by fire, and some accounts state that only 100 copies survived. Front endpaper has been replaced, cosmetic touch up to the spine ends and corners, spine titles dull, else a very good clean tight copy of a very scarce title.
