Laid-in to this copy is a promotional slip from the publisher promoting this book and advising the titles of the next three titles written by Pinkerton and in the works for publication. The first book by Pinkerton and the company was one of the first to use the term "private eye." The contents are all true stories of his life as a detective. A Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone.
