First edition. 8 1/8" x 10 ½" in brown pictorial wrappers with decorative arts & crafts lettering and borders and with an Arthur M. Prentiss photo of Multnomah Falls mounted to the front wrapper. Punch sewn at gutter margin and tied with brown cording. [62] pp. Illustrations. A wonderfully illustrated color travelogue of the Columbia River Highway. Prentiss & Weister operated together as the Weister Co. from 1913-1916, before Prentiss left to operate a studio with Benjamin Gifford. 31 color photo plates. Pictures include Talbot Bridge, Crown Point, Columbia Gorge, Vista House, Latourelle, Wah-kee-Na Falls, Shepperd's Dell Dome, Mt. Hood, Multnomah Falls, McCord Creek Falls, Horsetail Falls, Castle Rock, Eagle Creek, Mitchell's Point, Prescott Point, etc. Opposite each picture is information about the point depicted. Light wear to edges and spine ends as well as minor creasing. Very good.
