In 1874, a huge war party of Comanche, Kiowa, and Cheyenne Indians attacked a settlement of buffalo hunters in the Texas panhandle, touching off the last war on the South Plains. Very good in dust jacket with minor nicks to the extremities and a closed tear to the top edge of the front cover. A fine copy in lightly rubbed dust jacket with small half-inch piece missing in lower fore-corner of rear panel.
