Publication: Glendive Chamber of Commerce, 1916, Glendive
First edition. 9" x 8," folded in half. Self-printed color wrappers showing a wheat field and the Badlands. [20] pp. Double-column text. Numerous photo illustrations. Large centerfold map of Dawson County, Montana, created by R.T. Hurdle, 1915. A very scarce promotional brochure extolling the agricultural lands and economic opportunities in Glendive District, Montana, in eastern Dawson County. Includes charts and information on rainfall, crop reports, railroads, public buildings, schools, businesses, etc. Known as the “Gate City” of Montana because it was the first major stop on the Northern Pacific Railway line, this nicely illustrated work includes street & farm scenes in and around Glendive, representative homes, the Northern Pacific Hospital, and oil derrick in Gas City, Montana. Light soiling and light wear to the extremities. Very good.
