A collection of over 200 black and white photos of cowboy ropers (mostly Texans) taken by Lee Karr, 1974-75. In 1973 photographer Lee Karr and his wife Lela, moved to Del Rio, Texas he had previously had a studio in Georgetown, Texas. It was at this time they traveled the state seeking the men who made up this rare annual of the Texas cowboy ropers. A photograph gallery of many old-time and contemporary steer-roping competitors from around the Southwest, mostly from West Texas. Fine, bright copy without dust jacket, as issued.
