First edition. First Printing. 8vo. Stiff Pictorial Wrappers, vii-viii, 1-[310] pp., illustrated by S. Harrison, 9 maps, 14 photographs of Rendezvous sites, preface, introduction, footnotes, bibliography. The annual rendezvous was an important event in perpetuating the viability of the early Rocky Mountain Fur Trade. This scarce work uses detailed maps and pictures of the actual rendezvous sites, in addition to the journals, diaries, and letters of the participants to present a record of the annual rendezvous from 1825 through 1840. Previous owner's small name and address label in upper corner of second page. Wrappers show rubbing and some occasional soiling. Very good copy of the scarce first printing.
