A 1-1/2 page report of a petition seeking confirmation of a claim made by Samuel C. Young of ownership of a tract of land, lying in the Mississippi Territory, containing 2,800 arpens" that he purchased in 1803 from Joseph Pannill for $30,000; land that Pannill procured by a grant from the Spanish government. Petition was: "Resolved, that the prayer of the petition ought not to be granted." Very good condition.
