First edition of this Haycraft-Queen title. Blue cloth stamped in black on front cover and spine. A very good, firm copy. Inscribed on the front endpaper. Instead of a signature, Clemence Dane has drawn a tree stump. This copy was bought from a collection of Dane titles, all signed and inscribed, using the same ink and similar handwriting, but there is no further guarantee that it was inscribed by Dane. A very uncommon title. .
