Prizes were awarded for all types of cattle both dairy and beef types, horses and draft horses, sheep, swine, poultry, farm products such as wheat, corn, popcorn, vegetables such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas, etc., preserved canned goods, farm implements, musical implements, fine arts, textile fabrics, fastest trotting horse or mare, best and largest collection of fruits to include apples, pears, peaches, plums, and grapes, best canned preserves, flowers, etc. Pawnee City is located in the southeastern part of Nebraska just above the Kansas border and has a population today of approximately 1,000 citizens. Lower portion of back cover loose, else a near fine copy of an elusive title.
