Much on early Nebraska pioneers, buffalo hunts on the southwestern plains of Nebraska, a chapter devoted to the famous buffalo hunt of Grand Duke Alexis in 1872, at the request of General Phil Sheridan, Spotted Tail, Chief of the Brule Sioux, Buffalo Bill Cody, the U. S. Army, Indian depredations, etc. Six Guns 1670 says, "Contains some material on the Olives and their burning of Luther Mitchell and Ami Ketchum." Some light edgewear, else a clean, tight copy of this scarce cloth-bound first edition.
