Two tone quarter cloth and paper over boards, titles stamped in brown on the front cover and spine, 95 pp., foreword, illustrated, eight full-page plates by R. L. Lambdin. Mary Hart is the author's sister. Three stories, two by William S. Hart and one by his sister Hart's two stories appeared previously in the New York Morning Telegraph and Mary's story first appeared in Lippincott's Magazine. "Pinto Ben" is the story of a pony that gives up his own life to save his master from a stampeding herd of cattle. A very good, tight copy lacking the elusive dust jacket.
