First edition. 8vo. Tan stiff wrappers printed in red, 16 pp., illustrated, three maps. A descriptive account of the new gold mining district of Pine Creek. The folded map affixed to the verso of the front cover is done by Chase & Rank in 1896 and is titled "Map of Pine Creek District ... it is excellent. In the center of the booklet is a two-page map by Poole Brothers and is titled "Map of Colorado, Tributary To Lines Of U. P., Denver & Gulf (The Gulf Road) and Denver, Leadville & Gunnison RYS (The South Park Line). The map is geographically correct. On the inside rear cover is a map of Denver to the Pine Creek District, a 30.2 mile distance. An old water stain to about 1/4 of the rear cover and lessening and inoffensive as it goes from page 16 to page 1. The center map and the front folded map are virtually untouched and in fine condition. Overall a very good copy.
