Publication: Privately printed for Thomas Lindsay Blanton,1953, Albany, Texas

First edition. 8vo. On the front pastedown sheet in the year of publication: are the words "For inspection of the Naylor Brothers To be returned to author." The Naylor Brothers of the Naylor Company in San Antonio were publishers of books on Texas and the Southwest. Original dark green cloth, titles stamped in a lighter shade of green on the front cover and spine, [4], 153 [2] pp., frontispiece (portrait of John Alexander Matthews), foreword, illustrated from photographs, portraits, map. Printed for family members and never offered for sale to the public. The foreword by the author is most informative and provides an interesting overview of many family members. Light wear to the top corners, else a very good tight copy of a virtually unobtainable book.
