Information on the history of Florida, the founding of St. Augustine, the Matanzas Massacre, Sir Francis Drake, the massacre of missionaries, the Appalachia Indians, Davis' Raid, Governor Moore, Governor Oglethorpe, English occupation, purchase of Florida by the U.S., the Seminole War, the Dade Massacre, the civil War, much on Fort Marion, St. Augustine's Plaza, various churches, the slave market, St. George Street, various cemeteries, beaches, St. Augustine Institute of Science and Historical Society, etc. Last several pages in booklet are black and white photographs of the area to include numerous photos of Fort Marion, and also photos of Charlotte Street, the Post Office, the Old Slave Market, the oldest house on St. Francis Street, the Fountain of Youth, the Anastatia Light House, etc.4 pages of photographs were uncut and torn apart, leaving jagged edges. Light soiling and with light water stain to bottom edge of pages and covers along with light wear to the extremities. Very good.
