9 1/4" x 12 1/2" in brown leather boards, tied at spine and with illustration of man and woman dancing embossed at center along with title (Photographs) in gilt. Album houses 103 black and white photographs ranging in size from 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" to 8 1/4" x 6 1/4," each photograph attached to pages via black corners. Includes six 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" photographs by Fay Jesse Hiscock (1873 - 1951) who is part Indian and a distant cousin of Buffalo Bill. Also includes twenty 2 1/4" x 3 ½" photos by Asahel Curtis for the Northern Pacific Railroad company to include geysers, buffaloes, the Chittendan bridge, Emerald Pool, Pulpit Terrace, Thumb Paint Pots, Cliff Spring, Punch Bowl in eruption, Old Faithful Inn, White Elephant, the Union Pacific Station at the Western Entrance of Yellowstone, etc. Twenty 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" photographs taken at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1934. Included in that grouping are photos of the Field Museum, Streets of Paris, Adler Planetarium, Chrysler Motors Building, The Hall of Science, the Ford Building, the Belgian Village, the Golden Pavilion of Jehol, the Italian Building, the General Motors Building, the Electric Group, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science & Industry, Horticultural Building, the government Building, etc. The remaining photographs include Old Faithful, Great Falls, bears, Devil’s Tower, view from Artist Point, Obsidian Cliff, Indian children, dancing Indians, scenery, geysers, Dragon’s Mouth, Beryl Spring, etc. Twenty-one photographs include scenes outside of Wyoming and the Chicago World’s Fair to include Glacier Lake, Lake St. Mary, Glacier National Park, Lost Lake in Glacier, the Columbia River, Mt. Rushmore, Badlands of South Dakota, the Grand Canyon, Indian children, Indians dancing, and a few simply showing groups of women posed for the camera. The final photograph (8 1/4" x 6 1/4') is of a young woman standing on a rock at the base of a lake and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Near fine.
