This book is the result of observations by the author made in Kansas and Colorado during the summer of 1871. His objective was to gain information of the natural resources and agricultural capabilities of the Great Plains and of the mountain territories in order to determine the types of industry to which they might be adapted. The climate and soil conditions were noted as well as areas that might be dependent on others for agricultural products. Also information on new home, investments, cures for invalids, etc. opportunities. Front hinge expertly repaired else a very good copy.
