Map on endpapers is a sketch map of areas in Colorado and New Mexico in which there occurred important events in Bill Williams' career as a guide. An important biography of this legendary Mountain Man. Old Bill Williams is a controversial figure who trapped and guided throughout the Rocky Mountains during the 1820's-1840's. Three very small dark spots near bottom of front cover, and also a few on bottom edge of text block, else near fine. Lengthy signed presentation on verso of frontispiece. Laid-in is a handwritten 2-page letter signed by Favour telling a little about the publishing of the book. Original 4 page promotional Prospectus issued by the publisher laid-in.
