First edition. 5" x 3" bright colorful trade card. The front of the card offers a unique lithograph of the daring investigative journalist Nelly Bly. On the back of the card are testimonials from customers about the Morse pills. Elizabeth Cochran Seaman, known by her pen name Nellie Bly, was an American journalist. She was also a writer, industrialist, inventor, and a charity worker who was widely known for her record-breaking trip around the world in 72 days. She was a pioneer in her field, as well as a player in the early feminist and Suffrage movements, and she launched a new kind of investigative journalism. This card is one of a series of six about Bly. Store stamp to top of the front of the card else very good.
