The story of Tascosa, a boom town in the Texas Panhandle and Frenchy McCormick, who came to the town in 1880, married Mickey McCormick, and after his death in 1912, remained in Tascosa even when it became a ghost town and she was the only living residence there. Frenchy died in 1941, vowing until the end "I'll stay with my Mack. I want to be buried by his side." The site of Tascosa is now occupied by Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, a place for homeless boys.
