Photographs of noted cowboys and cowgirls who performed on the rodeo circuit. The author was a professional rodeo announcer for fifty years. The book begins with his earliest days when he scraped out a meager living, often moonlighting as a carnival barker, and carries on to eventual success as announcer, press agent, and promoter. He was present for the rise of rodeo from a minor diversion to a major American entertainment and obsession. Former owner's inked name and address on the front fly leaf, else a clean, near fine, bright copy in dust jacket, lightly sunned on the spine, light wear to the spine ends, internally reinforced with cellophane tape, chips to top edge of front panel and closed tear reinforced with cellophane tape, and light wear to the extremities. A very scarce title.
