Printed wrappers with an image of the main building of the Texas Cotton Palace insert at the top of the wrapper. Begins with a brief history of Waco describing the origins of its name, removal of the Indians, early organization of the city and adoption and achievements of the commission form of government. There are brief sketches of some of the major businesses including the Young Men’s Business League, public utilities, police and fire departments, the school system, health department, public parks and playgrounds, charitable institutions, etc. Includes a complete financial report that covers several pages. Enhanced by the numerous photographs showing prominent businesses, schools, churches, homes as well as street views. Light creasing to the wrappers and light wear to the extremities. Small scrape to picture of the Texas Cotton Palace on front cover. Internally, there are small chips to some pages edges, old damp stains to some pages, All things considered; it is a good plus and tight serviceable copy. Very scarce with OCLC showing one copy.
